The Detour is an original Australian travel series designed to explore regional Australia through story, contrast and discovery. Each episode follows three different travel perspectives through one region, showing that there is more than one way to experience a destination.
The Detour is being developed as a travel series people would actually choose to watch.
It is not a tourism advertisement dressed up as a show. It is built around real discovery, strong characters, regional stories and the kind of moments that happen when the plan changes.
The pilot is the next step. Rugged Lane is seeking aligned partners to help produce the pilot episode and open the pathway toward the full series.

The current opportunity is to secure pilot partners to help produce the pilot episode. The pilot will be used to prove the format, create a strong partner-facing asset and build the pathway toward production of the full series.
